Council for Subject Associations English Resources

These career resources for use by English teachers in the UK were commissioned by the Training and Development Agency (TDA) and have been produced by the Council for Subject Associations (CfSA) in partnership with five subject associations. The resources offered have been reviewed by practicing teachers and many have been trialled in schools. They are written specifically for use with Key Stage 3 and 4 students and offer a variety of approaches to introducing career-focused learning in the classroom.

National Literacy Trust

The National Literacy Trust is a national charity dedicated to raising literacy levels in the UK.
They work to improve the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in the UK's most disadvantaged communities, where up to 40 per cent of people have literacy problems. They establish literacy projects in the poorest communities, campaign to make literacy a priority for politicians/parents and support schools.

The YES Programme is an online work-related teaching resource that provides extensive, easy-to-use, content consisting of bespoke films and associated lesson material. Schools pay an annual subscription fee to make the YES Programme accessible to all staff, both in and outside of school.
