Business COVID testing

Published on Tuesday, 23 March 2021

As we start cautiously on the road to reopening, it’s important that employers encourage their employees to get regular (every 3-5 days) COVID-19 tests in order to identify positive cases quickly and to help keep each other safe.

Businesses can do this by applying via the national workplace testing scheme or signposting staff to our free, quality assured and hassle free community testing sites or by getting in touch with the Council directly for advice and support.

One local business in the borough has opted to utilise the community testing site offer for their staff. Here’s what they had to say…

Carrie Lowndes, Director for Access Hardware said:

“We are a distribution business based in Monkspath Business Park, we have around 30 staff within the company. We have been using the Testing site at Tudor Grange, the whole process can be completed in around fifteen minutes. As an asymptomatic site, the leisure centre is open to anyone who does not have any symptoms, but who could be spreading the virus to other colleagues without knowing they have it. This is particularly important for people who are regularly mixing with others for work. It only takes a few minutes and will make such a difference. The quicker we can get on top of this virus the sooner our lives can start to return to normal.”
