Edit Websites expands in Solihull thanks to the Business Growth Programme

Published on Friday, 22 June 2018

Software specialist, Edit Websites, has recently expanded in Solihull with support from the Business Growth Programme (BGP).

Part of the grant was used to support their expansion in Blythe Valley Innovation Centre, owned by Solihull MBC and managed by the University of Warwick Science Park. They have also invested in new marketing material as well buying new hardware to support our growth.

Kyle Cottington, Managing Director of Edit Websites, said:

“The grant has been crucial to the development of our business – expanding into new offices has enabled us to create a workspace consistent with our values and our brand. Having larger offices will give us an ideal platform to manage our business growth.”

“We found the application process straightforward and welcome the support provided by Solihull Council.”

“We are committed to recruiting local people to work in our business and now we can accelerate this and offer great opportunities to talented individuals to join our successful team. A year ago we had a team of 10 - now we are 14 and looking to recruit 4 more to work at our Solihull offices.”

Councillor Ian Courts, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Managed Growth at Solihull Council said:

“Solihull Council is committed to encouraging innovation and supporting SME businesses that want to grow, we recognise the important contribution SME’s make to the economic growth of the Borough.

“It is great to see the Business Growth Programme support local companies such as Edit Websites.  Finance is a key issue for businesses and this programme is providing a stepping stone that enables organisations to realise expansion and recruitment plans.”

Janet Bunch - Centre Manager for Blythe Valley Innovation Centre, said:

“Blythe Valley is a great location for businesses to be based – and the strong occupancy levels at the centre is testament to this. Edit Websites works with clients across the UK, so being based here is a perfect location for them to connect with them. We have watched Edit grow over the past few years and are delighted to be able to offer them a nurturing professional environment to enable that to happen.”

The Business Growth Programme is a £33 million business support programme designed to strengthen supply chains, stimulate innovation and grow existing small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) across the Greater Birmingham and Solihull, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire and The Marches Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs).

Part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and managed by Birmingham City Council, the BGP builds on the successful delivery of the Business Development Programme, the Business Innovation Programme and the Green Bridge Supply Chain Programme.
