New business grant schemes

Published on Thursday, 19 November 2020

The Government recently announced a range of funding packages to support businesses impacted by Covid-19. The support varies depending on the alert level of each area prior to the current national lockdown (5 November to 2 December).

Solihull Council is now inviting applications for the Tier 2 Business Grant Funding (For businesses affected from 14 October to 4 November 2020), National Lockdown Grant Funding (5 November to 2 December 2020) and the Discretionary Business Grant Scheme (closing date 1 December).

There is plenty of advice and guidance for businesses on the Council website and the Solihull for Success website.

A webinar is also being organised for Wednesday 25 November at 2pm, to talk about the grants. To find out more information and to book a place on the webinar email business@solihull.gov.uk.

Councillor Ian Courts, Leader of Solihull Council said:

“I know it remains incredibly difficult for businesses at the moment, so it is important that they access whatever support is available. The Government has now put in place another range of funding packages to support businesses impacted by COVID and we are now inviting applications for this funding.

“Businesses can find out more about the packages on offer by going to our Business Grant Schemes webpage or by emailing business@solihull.gov.uk and booking a place on our free webinar, 2pm next Wednesday 25 November.”
