An exciting new restaurant, Karaage, will become part of the Resorts World family when it re- opens its doors fully following the lockdown.
Karaage, who specialise in traditional Japanese fried chicken, opened its first restaurant in Moseley in February and will be launching their second location at Resorts World opening on May 17th.
Karaage is the first restaurant group in the UK to focus on this gorgeous fried chicken dish and to put it at the centre of the menu. The concept of karaage goes back to the 1920’s and is primarily a chicken dish that is lightly marinated then covered in a traditional breading and forms a crispy and delicious coating when it is fried. It is usually served with a creamy Japanese mayo or Japanese - inspired sauces such as Teriyaki, Tonkatsu, Ponzu (karaage no-sosu-ae). Other popular Japanese specialities such as gyoza, chahan, katsu curry and takoyaki will form part of the Karaage menu.
The restaurant will be in a prime location on the ground floor of Resorts World looking out onto the main atrium. Customers eager to know more about this cuisine and gain details of special opening offers can subscribe to the Karaage nyusureta (newsletter).
Commenting on the opening of the second Karaage restaurant, Freddie Spinzar, Director of Operations for Karaage said;
“ We are truly excited to open our second branch in such a prime location. With a larger space for the Bushi Bird to spread its wings, Karaage will bring the best of Japanese fried chicken to Resorts World.”
Operations Director of Resorts World, Karen Hodson is looking forward to welcoming Karaage to the resort;
“ We are thrilled to be able to fully open our doors again on May 17th and to be able to add Karaage to our food and beverage offer is fabulous. The Karaage menu is unique and at the forefront of Japanese cuisine and I know visitors to Resorts World will find the range of Japanese specialities irresistible.”
