Solihull Apprenticeship Show 2015

The Solihull Apprenticeship Show returns on Thursday 9th July 2015, and will give you the chance to find out about apprenticeships, and speak with employers and current apprentices about opportunities on offer and the apprenticeship experience.
With over 1800 people attending last year’s show, we have outgrown our previous venue and for the first time, the Solihull Apprenticeship Show will be held at The NEC! As ever, attendance and parking at the Solihull Apprenticeship Show remains completely free of charge.
This year’s event will take place at The Gallery, The NEC, B40 1NT and will last from 1.30pm – 7pm. You are welcome to come along at any time.
Throughout the day there will be a number of “have a go” sessions where you will get the chance to enjoy a hands-on experience, trying out activities involved in a typical days work.
There will also be a number of “spotlight” sessions where you can hear from employers and apprentices about their roles, as well as ask questions about their apprenticeship programmes.
Employers already confirmed to attend are Jaguar Land Rover, John Lewis, Secure Trust Bank, Seddon, BT, Couch Perry Wilkes, Crowne Plaza, PM Group, CIPP, Metro Shipping, Premier Inn, and Carillion.
Apprenticeships provide a clear route into a successful career in a huge range of industries, in fact, there is an apprenticeship to match almost every career. With many companies now offering apprenticeship programmes which lead to a degree, your options could be vast. A number of training providers will also be promoting provision at Entry Level and Level 1 for students who are looking for pre-apprenticeship opportunities.
The Employment & Skills Team at Solihull Council are encouraging school leavers and young adults to come along to the Solihull Apprenticeship Show to find out about the range of jobs, training and qualifications that are involved in apprenticeships. With parents, carers and teachers all welcome, the event is the perfect chance to fully understand the benefits of modern apprenticeships, and get any questions answered.
Parking at the Solihull Apprenticeship Show is free of charge! Please use Gate 3, Car Park NI. Enter The NEC through The Atrium. The Gallery is on the first floor above Halls 7 & 8.
The NEC is next to Birmingham International Train Station where buses 75, 97, 91, 900 and 966 all stop.
