Paul Thandi - A (Three Minute) Hero

Published on Thursday, 11 May 2017

Paul Thandi - A (Three Minute) Hero The CEO of the NEC Group, one of the World’s top venue management companies and a key economic asset in the borough, has drawn upon his thirty plus years experience working in marketing, exhibitions and the media industry to give young, budding CEO’s the advice on how to get the edge.

Paul took time away from the business, which connects over seven million people through shared experiences of business, live entertainment, sport and leisure each year, to film a short video; part of a collective experiment, Three Minute Hero, to help students make more informed choices about their careers. As Chair of the Solihull Employment and Skills Board, Paul has shown his commitment to supporting the skills needs of the region and helping to raise the aspirations of local young people.

In the video Paul talks about his job, the value of his team and his experience of school. But the striking messages are to listen and to be honest with yourself.
