Work Experience Purpose


Are you confident, outgoing and have a passion for arts, heritage or science? Our successful Birmingham Museums Career Ladder is now recruiting participants for this year’s programme, welcoming applications for 22 Trainee Enabler roles across Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum and our Heritage Sites including Aston Hall, Soho House, Blakesley Hall, Sarehole Mill and Museum of the Jewellery Quarter.

Successful candidates will receive on-the-job training to develop transferable skills. This paid role is public-facing and successful candidates will form part of the Museum Enabler team that engages with visitors on a daily basis in the museum, explaining information about collections and displays, supporting special events and assisting with learning activities.

This is a wonderful opportunity for young people to gain paid work experience over the summer holiday.
