Job Purpose

Working in a High Dependency Unit on a 1:1 and small group basis with children diagnosed with autism. Organising workload for children and delivering teaching and support with other everyday activities such as social skills, cooking and outdoor activities.

Main Responsibilites

Writing lesson plans and differentiation
Using principles of ABA and PECS (picture exchange communication system ) Working 1:1 and in small groups of children
Ensuring Safeguarding of children

Experience and Skills

To be understanding and empathic
Able to multitask and demonstrate flexibility of approach
To be able to remain calm within a stressful situation
Good understanding of spoken and written English
Car driver and own transport due to accessibility of location in Meriden
