Job Purpose
To provide a wide range of administrative and financial tasks to support Children’s Social Work Services.
Main Responsibilites
• To provide administrative support to Children’s Social Work Services.
• Maintain computerised and manual information systems, to support service delivery.
• To provide a professional, friendly and efficient point of contact for service users and other callers.
• To assist with dealing with information and situations, face to face, over the telephone or in writing which is of a confidential, sensitive or distressing nature.
• To ensure all incoming correspondence is dealt with effectively.
• To undertake word processing, photocopying, filing etc. as required.
• To assist with carrying out reception duties as required.
• To take notes and produce minutes of meetings.
• Handle and process manual or computerised information, with care, accuracy, confidentiality and security.
• Assist with the processing of financial documents and data in an accurate and timely manner.
• Any other duties as may be appropriate.
Experience and Skills
Experience of using a wide range of computer packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (or similar).
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to update and maintain information management systems.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
The ability to minute meetings.
The ability to collect, organise and present information.
